About
Made for people preparing for the naturalization interview on their own
Susu Korean is a study service for people preparing for the Korean citizenship (naturalization) interview. You hear each question in an interviewer's voice, answer out loud and find out right away — with guidance in eight languages. The website (susukorean.com) and the apps (iOS and Android) share the same content.
Why we made it
In the interview room there is no interpreter and no dictionary — you listen and answer in Korean. Yet most places to prepare offer only a list of questions in Korean, so people still learning Korean struggle even to understand what is being asked. We built one place to understand the questions in your own language and practise saying the answers in Korean.
Official sources
Susu Korean is not a government app. It does not represent the Ministry of Justice, the Korea Immigration Service or any other government agency — it is a private study service with no government affiliation.
The official sources for naturalization applications and interviews, and for the laws and national symbols covered in the test, are the government websites below. This app's content was made with reference to them. Check the current details there before you apply.

- Korea Immigration Service (Ministry of Justice)www.immigration.go.kr
- Socinet — Korea Immigration & Integration Program and comprehensive evaluationwww.socinet.go.kr

How we make and check the content
- The structure of the interview — its stages and assessment areas — follows the Ministry of Justice naturalization interview guide.
- The practice questions were written by Susu Korean based on that guide and public sources such as laws and the National Archives' materials on national symbols. They are not copied from real exams.
- Every Korean question and answer is reviewed by a person, one by one. Translations and explanations are provided in eight languages, and we keep fixing awkward spots.
- The interviewer recordings are checked by ear, and we are gradually replacing them with recordings of a real voice.
- Answers that change over time, such as the name of the current president, are updated when they change.
- Blog articles are written after checking official sources such as HiKorea, Socinet and the Ministry of Justice. Figures that change are never stated as fixed — we tell you where to check them.
Found a mistake?
If you see something wrong in a question, an answer, a translation or an article, please let us know. We will check it and fix it.
